5S system

5S indicates SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU, and SHITSUKE, etc., which are the Romanization for corresponding Japanese contents. SEIRI indicates that, we shall divide any article at workplace into necessary and unnecessary, then retain the necessary ones, and clear out the unnecessary ones completely. SEITON indicates that, we shall place necessary articles by classification at specified position orderly, make clear the quantity, and mark them. SEISO indicates that, we shall clean up the work place, prevent it from becoming dirty, and maintain the cleanness and brightness of the workplace. SEIKETSU indicates that, we shall systemize and normalize the aforesaid 3S (SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO), and fulfill, maintain and upgrade them. SHITSUKE indicates that, everybody shall develop good habits, handle matters according to regulations, and cultivate positive spirits.

The 5S management system has been formulated specially for raising the overall image of Wanma New Energy and the self-discipline ability of its employees, cultivating the Company’s specific corporate culture, and improving employees’ quality and self-cultivation.

5S activity specially emphasizes “the whole staff’s participation” and “high-level leaders’ personal participation”, and “persistence” is the key to the success of 5S. By means of systems, the Company ensures the whole staff’s active and persistent efforts, makes every employee participate in 5S activity, form good working habits and reduce the opportunities of mistake, raises employees’ self-cultivation and the Company’s overall image & management level, and creates a special corporate culture atmosphere. 5S is the foundation of on-site management, the precondition of TPM (total productive maintenance), the first step of TQM (total quality management), and the guarantee for the effective implementation of ISO9000. 5S on-site management can create a good atmosphere of that “everybody participates in the activity actively and observes standards in everything”. With this atmosphere, it will be easier to obtain employees’ support and cooperation for carrying out ISO, TQM and TPM, and will be beneficial for mobilizing employees’ enthusiasm and forming powerful thrust force. The effect of implementing ISO, TQM and TPM, etc. can not be presented obviously and immediately, since it is hidden and long-term; while the effect of 5S activity is immediate. In case 5S is imported during the implementation of ISO, TQM and TPM, etc., it will be available to obtain obvious effect within a short period, and thus to strengthen employees’ confidence. 5S is the foundation of on-site management, and its level represents managers’ cognition with on-site management and determines the level of on-site management; and here, the level of on-site management determines whether ISO, TPM and TQM activities can be carried out smoothly and effectively. Through 5S activity, we may improve the “somatoplasm” of the enterprise by starting with on-site management, and yield twice the result with half the effort.
